Collaboration with Monoplan
Monoplan is an international architecture and interior design studio based in Zurich, specializing in commercial interiors and hospitality projects. The practice combines architecture, interior design, and branding under one roof, with a strong focus on the hotel sector. Monoplan operates internationally, with additional offices in Germany and Greece.
Hotel Pommerscher Hof in Heringsdorf
One of Monoplan’s recent projects is the redesign of the interiors of Hotel Pommerscher Hof, located in the center of the seaside resort of Heringsdorf. I carried out the photographic shoot at the end of 2020, shortly after the refurbishment was completed. The session covered the hotel’s public areas, including the lobby, entrance hall, lobby bar, restaurant, winter garden, and café. In addition, I photographed a model guest room prepared as a reference interior. The interior concept is based on the idea of a “postcard from the seaside,” drawing inspiration from the history, landscape, and culture of the island of Usedom. During the shoot, my goal was to capture the atmosphere of these spaces, their functionality, and the subtle references to the coastal context. The photographs present the interiors as open and welcoming, while emphasizing visual coherence and the diversity of spaces, from representative public areas to more intimate, private interiors.
