Industrial Photography for Volkswagen Manufacturing Plants
I was commissioned by the Polish branch of Volkswagen to carry out an industrial photography shoot at their manufacturing plants in the Greater Poland region. It was one of my first assignments of this kind, which made it a significant professional challenge from the very beginning, both logistically and photographically. During a full-day shoot, I photographed the interiors of the production halls, documenting successive stages of the vehicle manufacturing and assembly process. My work focused on capturing not only the scale of the industrial infrastructure, but also the people, the precision of the production lines, and the rhythm of daily operations. I aimed to show the character of an environment that is usually inaccessible to the public.
Facilities in Poznań, Swarzędz and Antoninek
The session covered Volkswagen plants located in Poznań, Swarzędz, and Antoninek. Volkswagen Poznań is one of the largest employers in the region and a key production hub for the brand in Europe. The facilities manufacture commercial vehicles and components, combining advanced production technologies with the long industrial tradition of the site. Working inside active production plants required careful planning, adaptability, and strict compliance with safety regulations. This project became an important step in developing my approach to industrial photography and provided valuable experience working in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
