Interior Photography – Warsaw, Gdańsk, Poznań

Interior photography requires not only technical skills, but also a sense of aesthetics and an understanding of space. In my work as an interior photographer in Warsaw, Gdańsk, and Poznań, I strive to capture the unique atmosphere of each interior, emphasizing its character and functionality. Every space has its own story and mood, which I aim to convey through my photographs. With the use of appropriate lighting, composition, and attention to detail, I create images that not only document a space, but also reflect its spirit. My photographs are intended to attract the viewer’s attention by showcasing the beauty and uniqueness of each location.

Interior photography – what is its purpose?

The purpose of interior photography, beyond presenting the general character of a designed space, is to convey the atmosphere within it and its relationship with the outside world. As with architectural photography, it is always important to me that a session results in a complete set of materials—a collection of wide shots as well as close-ups and details. Regardless of whether I am carrying out commissions as part of interior photography in Gdańsk, Poznań, or Warsaw, I want the viewer to “see” the story a given space has to tell. Thanks to the use of modern equipment and careful preparation of the property for the session, each photograph precisely reflects the character of the selected place.

The importance of preparation in interior photography

Presenting the uniqueness of an interior in photographs requires proper preparation. For example, when photographing residential interiors, while working with interior designers, we often use so-called home staging. We arrange the space and enhance it with accessories and decorative elements to achieve the desired character. As part of home staging, we carefully select furniture, accessories, and decorative elements that emphasize the style and character of the interior. We also often add plants, textiles, or lighting that introduce warmth and a sense of coziness into the space. Thanks to these measures, we are able to create an atmosphere that attracts attention and makes the interior appear more polished and thoughtfully designed. This allows us to highlight the ambiance of a given place.

What does the work of a real estate photographer look like?

When planning photo sessions for office, hotel, and other commercial interiors, a detailed consultation with the client regarding the desired outcome is essential. Do we want to show empty spaces, focusing on the quality of the design and architectural solutions? Or do we want to present “lived-in” interiors with employees? If the client prefers the latter option, we use company employees or hired models during the photo sessions. This was the case, for example, during the interior photo session of the new EY headquarters in the Proximo II building in Warsaw. At the client’s request, we hired models for the shoot in order to reflect the scale of the interiors and the way they are used.

An extremely important element in interior photography in Warsaw and many other cities in Poland and abroad is planning appropriate lighting—both natural and artificial. Interiors can be presented in daylight, emphasizing the natural colors of walls, furniture, and fittings. On the other hand, interesting effects can be achieved in property photographs taken at dusk, using artificial lighting. It is also important to use the right equipment—lenses with perspective correction—to accurately represent the scale of the interior and the proportions of the furniture.

How are the results of an interior photographer’s work used?

As an interior photographer, I primarily work on commission for architects and designers. They use the photographs to promote their own business—for presentations on industry portals and in trade magazines, on websites, and on social media. Thanks to professional photographs, they are able to showcase the results of their work and, as a result, attract new clients. For example, the hotel industry uses professional hotel photography to present their properties, encouraging guests to use their services. Photographs of office interiors, on the other hand, are used by tenants to present their company or the entire office building, for example during a sale.
