I began working with the Warsaw-based studio 22Architekci in 2019 when I was invited to photograph a charming, small single-family home in Konstancin-Jeziorna. The entire facade was clad in wood, and the house was discreetly nestled within a compact plot. My goal was to capture how seamlessly the structure blended with the preserved trees on-site. I also aimed to highlight the refined details and materials that responded to the natural surroundings. These photos were widely published online and later printed in WhiteMAD magazine.
In the following years, I completed around ten sessions for the studio, primarily photographing residential buildings but also industrial structures, such as the Gabec production and office hall in Radom. In late 2021, I traveled to the Tri-City area to photograph the Student Depot and Resi4Rent residential complexes on Kołobrzeska Street in Gdańsk. I was already familiar with the location, having documented the site during its construction. Photographing architecture in late autumn presents challenges due to short days and rapidly changing weather, but this time, the season worked in my favor. I captured the buildings in the last rays of sunlight and managed to frame engaging street scenes featuring pedestrians interacting with the new urban landscape.
Between 2020 and 2021, I had the opportunity to visit Katowice three times to photograph Nowy Nikiszowiec. This housing estate was based on a winning competition entry and pays homage to the original historic Nikiszowiec. I documented the project both during construction and upon completion—both in winter and summer. Each visit, I aimed to showcase its architectural appeal and references to the old neighborhood. My drone shots effectively highlighted the urban layout and the relationship between the new and existing structures. I was particularly impressed by the project’s bold design, thoughtful building arrangement, and well-planned public spaces. Nowy Nikiszowiec was recognized with a nomination for the Mies van der Rohe Award, and my photographs were published in Architektura Murator magazine.
