An interview on the journey from architecture to architectural photography
An in-depth interview with me was published on Archinea / Onet, conducted by Tomasz Melnicki. The conversation explores my professional path and the decision to move away from architectural design toward architectural photography. It is a personal account of changing perspectives, as well as a reflection on how an architectural background shapes the way I observe, interpret, and photograph buildings, interiors, and public spaces. In the interview, I talk about my first steps in photography, the challenges of building a new professional identity, and how architectural thinking—an understanding of space, proportion, structure, and context—continues to influence my photographic work. We also discuss the importance of consistency, long-term development, and refining one’s visual language, as well as the role of light, detail, and narrative in architectural photography. The conversation is addressed to architects, photographers, and anyone interested in architectural photography and creative work at the intersection of design, documentation, and visual storytelling.
